As women we do it all, including, probably, the laundry. We have to.
You don’t need me to tell you how many responsibilities you have, but I would like you to reflect a moment about where on your list of priorities you and your needs fall.
What I find is that for most women it’s somewhere below folding laundry, meaning that every single thing in your life has a higher priority than you yourself do.
Make a list of 5 to 10 things that are the most important to you. Now, put your name above them all. How does that make you feel? Selfish? Self-indulgent? Guilty?
Now, think for a moment about what would happen if you got very sick or injured, you broke your leg, or ended up in the hospital for a few weeks.
What happens then to your priorities? How does everything and everyone get taken care of? And most important, who takes care of you?
Right on! I will make my list soon and take better care of me!
Thanks for all you do for me.
